New Peugeot Billboard Unlawful

Mar 15, 2010

Peugeot 3008 advert displays CO2 info in minuscule typeface.

The newest example by Peugeot shows how the advertising agencies and the car industry still don't display the CO2 information clearly for consumers.

This new billboard for the 3008 Crossover series caught us by surprise. We haven't seen CO2 information displayed this small in a long time. You'd almost be forgiven for thinking it wasn't there.

It's a funny advert as it is - probably a teaser campaign. You're left thinking, 'well, what's that all about then?'

They don't even seem to want you t know it's for the 3008 series either.

Nonetheless, the information is so small that it can't even be seen from across the road, let alone read.

We've sent in a complaint to the VCA, since their guidelines state that a pedestrian should be able to read it, while scratching his or her head, looking perplexed.

Well, even in Madmen they have bad days.
